Animal Health – and more

Regulation (EU) 2016/429 on transmissible animal diseases and amending and repealing certain acts in the area of animal health (‘Animal Health Law’ or AHL), complemented by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/692, enters into force 21/4/2021 (press clip).

The importance of the law reaches far beyond the world of vets, pets and beasts. The kick-off date has been set to coincide with the coming into force of a whole series of rules on official controls on food, feed and agricultural and fishery products overall. As of today, the paperwork for EU trade with third countries changes considerably and deserves the due attention of all stakeholders in food and feed.

Food Law
Information Service

European food law is constantly shifting. Publications on policy papers, amendments to laws, court judgments and statements by parliamentarians are many and in their entirety, difficult and time-consuming to track.
Brussels Food Law Information Service is a weekly news service delivering updates from the European institutions related to food.
